Cheyne Walk Club
Members and their guests are invited to a Wine Tasting event on 4th June here at Cheyne Walk Club.
Our host for the evening is Tom Denning, a member of the Northampton Wine Society and an experienced winemaker who has worked in the wine industries of New Zealand, Portugal, and Germany and is now in England.
We hope to make this the first in a series, and so are starting off with a tasting that anyone can enjoy.
The world of wine can be quite a daunting prospect to enter. With well over a thousand grape varieties and a multitude of countries and regions to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to begin.
This wine and cheese evening will distil some fundamentals of what can be achieved with the humble grape, demystify the competition between ‘Old world’ and ‘New world’ wines, and look at how important place and climate is in producing some of our favourite drops.
Hosted by an Assistant Winemaker who has experienced winemaking in 4 countries, the evening promises to be as informative as it will be delicious.
£25 per person, including wine and a cheese course, please book via the Club Secretary.
Only 20 places are available, so please book early, you are welcome to bring friends who would like to experience the event.
